Not "Pet Friendly" with cats in the house

I searched long and hard for a playmat that would hold up in our house with cats! The mats are advertised as "pet friendly" and I did read some positive reviews about them holding up well with animals. After reading all the great reviews I decided to splurge! Fast forward two months and the mat is full of tiny holes with little chunks of foam sticking out. This started on the first day of use. My cats have their claws trimmed regularly and they do not sharped their claws on the mat. This is just from them running across it when hyper.
I'm incredibly disappointed as I thought this would be a buy it once, buy it for life kind of purchase. If you're considering this mat due to its "pet friendly" advertising, and you have cats, please be warned it will not hold up.

Love this mat!

Beautiful, simple design and great addition to our living room. The kids love it and it keeps them off our hard floors. Will buy more for their rooms as well.

Seriously this mat is the best!
After months of vacuuming and trying to clean those connecting mat squares I finally had enough and thought I would try this. It is durable, easy to clean with a baby and a dog. The mat colour and design makes the playroom work as both a playroom while still fitting in with in the living room, decor as we have an open concept home.
